How to validate windows Empty
PostSubject: How to validate windows   How to validate windows Icon_minitimeWed Nov 25, 2009 2:45 pm

Just had to validate my copy of windows to install windows media player 11
and i thought i would share how to do it to save you kind people the trouble
of figuring it out yourself. XD yeah you love me..

(oh and btw, i'm pretty sure this only works on windows sp2 Sad, but thats the good one so yeah)

To start off with: Open up a new notepad document.
its usually something like start> all programs> accessories> notepad.

Now in that blank screen, copy and paste the code in its entirety from the code box below:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WPAEvents]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion]
“CurrentBuild”=”1.511.1 () (Obsolete data – do not use)”

Now once you copy pasted all that shit into your notepad doc, click "file", then "Save as..."

then in the drop down box next to the heading:"Save As Type:" change it to 'All Files"

then out as the file name: activate.reg
it doesnt really matter what you call it as long as it ends in .reg

now save it somewhere like your desktop, it'll probs come up with some bullshit message about ANSI code but just click yes.

to activate windows it's as easy as double clicking this new reg file and hitting yes, then okay.
congratulations windows is now activated!!! WOOO!!!!

I'd upload a pre-made file for ya guys but i'm sure Microsoft would take you down a peg.

Have fun ladies and gentlewarts
